9 Stanley Nwabali MAN OF MATCH
He was the hero of the game as he saved the penalties of Egypt two top stars Mo Salah and Omar Marmoush for Nigeria to put away previous failures in the penalty shootout. He posted four clean sheets at this tournament.
7 Bruno Onyemaechi
The leftback kept his place in the starting XI with another assured display. Since the second group game versus Tunisia, he has consigned Zaidu Sanusi to the bench and he has again justified his selection.
7 Bright Osayi-Samuel
Yet another solid performance by the right back to prove that the defence is not the Achilles Heel of this team. He will later be subbed off due to injury.
7.5 Semi Ajayi
Another five-star performance by the Hull City central defender. One of the unsong heroes of the Super Eagles at this tournament. he organised the back four and led by example, hardly putting a foot wrong tonight.
7 Igoh Ogbu
The Slavia Praha centre-back was a worthy replacement for the suspended Calvin Bassey to prove the strength in depth in the Super Eagles squad. He was willing to take responsibility despite the level of the competition.
6.5 Raphael Onyedika
An improved outing from what he delivered against Morocco. His lack of pace slowed down the team’s quick transition, though.
6 Fisayo Dele-Bashiru
He did just enough, but showed his versatility when he moved into rightback for the injured Osayi-Samuel. He missed Nigeria’s first kick in the penalty shootout after he scored from the spot in the semifinal against Morocco.

7 Samuel Chukwueze
A decent showing by the Fulham winger even after the attacks he was subjected to for his poor penalty kick against Morocco. He created a number of chances for the attack and even had a chance to score in the first half.
6.5 Moses Simon
Hard-working, direct winger, who used his speed and movement to trouble the opponents. He rose to the occasion by putting away one of the penalties in the shootout.
6 Jerome Akor
The big striker was full of endeavour, showed strong character by stepping forward to score his penalty. He has proved he belongs to this group.
6 Paul Onuachu
The Super Eagles failed to play to the aerial prowess of the giant striker and eventually he had to be subbed off.

6.5 Ademola Lookman
Came off the bench to keep the Egyptian defence on their toes and will go on to score the decisive penalty for Nigeria to triumph on the night.
7 Alex Iwobi
He showed class when he came off the bench and his contributions kept Egypt at bay for most of the second half. He scored his penalty for the Super Eagles to put out the penalty shootout curse they suffered against Morocco and DR Congo.

All super eagle players did well in the competition. Kudos to them. They have a wonderful skills of play and this saw them to the position of 3rd place, if not that the referee was against them in the match against moroco they would have been the number. But thanks ππ to almighty GOD who didn’t allow them to return empty handed. ..Again i praise Eric Chelle for his hard work and experience he brought into the team. Please π i want to beg the board of NFF to allow Chelle to stay he’s a good coach, and better things are coming to the team.
