Victor Osimhen is one of several strikers on the shopping list of La Liga giants Barcelona.
He is one of the most suitable profiles for Barcelona coach Hansi Flick, who likes a mobile, high-pressing and physically strong No 9 of which Osimhen is.
However, the biggest snag in this transfer is financial.
Under La Liga’s Financial Sustainability rules, the club have a salary cap of approximately €420 million, but their current expenses exceed this limit.
Furthermore, Osimhen’s annual net salary of 21 million euros makes the transfer extremely difficult.
To meet this level of cost, Barcelona would need to part ways with key players or generate significant transfer revenue, according to leading Turkish media outlet Fotomac.
Internal club discussions focus on the potential sale of high-salaried players like Frenkie de Jong or Raphinha.
It’s stated that a transfer of Osimhen’s calibre would be difficult without such departures.
