The agent of Victor Osimhen has saluted the Napoli striker after he finished a record eighth in this year’s Ballon d’Or.
Osimhen was the highest ranked African star at the 67th Ballon d’Or after he finished as top scorer in Serie A and Napoli won their third Scudetto last season.
His agent, Roberto Calenda, was impressed the Super Eagles star striker made the Top 10 of the Ballon d’Or in only his first-ever nomination for the award.
“8th in Ballon d’Or ranking! You made history and the future is yours…Victor is coming!!! Congrats @victorosimhen9,” Calenda praised on X.
Osimhen,24, is now expected in December to become the first Nigeria star since Nwankwo Kanu in 1999 to be crowned CAF African Player of the Year.
