The Golden Eaglets only need to avoid defeat against Togo Tuesday afternoon to seal their place in the semifinals of the 2023 AU17 AFCON qualifying tournament in Ghana.
This followed an impressive 4-2 win over hosts Ghana in their opening Group A game Saturday.
They top Group A with three points and at least a point against Togo in their group game will secure their passage to the last four of the qualifiers.
Togo and Ghana will thus have to battle for the other spot in the semis.
The two finalists of this tournament will qualify for the U17 AFCON in Algeria.
The Eaglets under the tutelage of coach Nduka Ugbade started slowly against the Black Starlets, but the brilliant free kick goal by Emmanuel Michael galvanized them to lead 3-0 going into the break.
Several youngsters like the dribbling wizard Jubril Azeez, skipper Precious Williams, goalkeeper Richard Odoh and midfielder Ebube Okere caught the eye.
Kick-off Tuesday will again be 5pm in Nigeria.
