Akinkunmi Amoo was match winner and Man of the Match for Hammarby in a 1-0 home win over Varberg Monday night.
And now the club’s sports director has insisted the youngster remains very much part of the team’s plans even after he was recently left out of a big derby.
Amoo could only watch from the stands in the derby against Djurgardens IF the previous weekend and Hammarby were hammered 4-1.
However, Hammarby sports director Jesper Jansson again passed a vote of confidence on the teenager, who has now scored five goals in the Swedish top league this season.
“We have big belief in Amoo, that has not changed,” he told fotbolldirekt.se
“But we must keep in mind that he is only 18 years old.”
The sports director also said new coach Milos Milojevic also shares this belief in the Nigerian sensation.
