Swedish club Hammarby IF have invited Golden Eaglets midfielder Alfred Olaniyan as well as his Sidos FC teammate Isaac after they signed another Nigeria U17 star Akinkunmi Amoo from the same club.
“It is true that we invited them here to Stockholm, then came the Corona and we had to put it on ice,” disclosed Hammarby official Mikael Hjelmberg.
“So, it’s still alive, but we can’t fly them up here right now.
“Both were born in 2002, just like Amoo.
“Alfred has been in the Nigeria U17 team and we saw him in qualifying for the African championship. Then he was injured for the U17 World Cup, so we did not see him there.
“Isaac has not been as much in the national team, but there we saw him at FC Sidos when we looked at Amoo.”
He added: “Both players are midfielders There are two really good central midfielders – one is a little more offensive and the other a little more defensive as a number six.”
