The Super Falcons of Nigeria lead 2-0 against Tunisia in their opening WAFCON Group B match in Casablanca.
It has not been a convincing performance by the nine-time African champions even though they look set to wallop the lowest ranked team in this tournament.
Asisat Oshoala opened scoring in the fourth minute when she made the final contact from a free kick taken by Rinsola Babajide from the left.
In first half stoppage time, Babajide doubled the advantage when she darted into the box before she fired a low shot into the net.
VAR will clear this strike after it appeared Oshoala fouled an opponent before it was scored.
Ashliegh Plumptre thought she had got Nigeria a third goal also in time added on, but it was chalked off for an infringement.
In between the two allowed goals, Tunisia gained in confidence as Nigeria did not seem to impose themselves on this contest despite their obvious class.
Starting XI: Nnadozie – Alozie, Plumptre, Ohale, Demehin – Abiodun, Ayinde, Payne -Babajide, Ajibade, Oshoala
