Golden Eaglets coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere has expressed super confidence of victory over Niger today as they begin their quest to qualify for next year’s U17 AFCON.
Niger and WAFU B defending champions Cote d’Ivoire played out a 1-1 draw in the opening Group B clash of the qualifying tournament in Burkina Faso.
Nigeria will go top of the standings and with a foot in the semifinals should they stop Niger this afternoon.
“We are very, very confident because we’re Nigeria,” declared coach Ebobo.
“But we’re not overconfident because we have to respect our opponents because they will give us a very tough battle.
“The advantage is with us because we have seen both teams play but this could be a disadvantage as well if we failed to get a result.
“A win for us will already get us into the semifinal.”
Kick-off today is 5pm in Nigeria.
