The Golden Eaglets are sweating on the fitness of their joint leading scorer Rapha Adams after he was injured in the WAFU B U17 AFCON qualifier at the weekend.
Adams has scored two goals thus far in the competition, but he may not be available for today’s important third-place game due to injury in the semifinal against Cote d’Ivoire.
He was hacked several times by the Ivorians and only managed to finish the game.
Should he not be available, the team’s third-choice striker Daniel Arierhi could get his first start of the tournament.
It is widely expected that at least the team who win this classification game will stand a chance of also qualifying for next year’s AFCON.
Kick-off is 5pm in Nigeria.
