SCORENigeria can exclusively report that coach Manu Garba has submitted to the NFF a 50-man provisional squad for the U17 World Cup in Brazil.
That will be the list that will be forwarded to FIFA on or before September 26 as stipulated.
SCORENigeria has further gathered that the list is dominated by the squad of players from the 2019 U17 AFCON in Tanzania, where Nigeria placed a disappointing fourth.
In the meantime, the Golden Eaglets are due to fly out this weekend to Turkey for an invitational tournament involving the qualifiers for the World Cup.
They are also due to set up a training camp in Sao Paulo, Brazil, prior to the World Cup, which kicks off on October 26.
Five-time world champions Nigeria are drawn with Australia, Hungary and Ecuador in the first round of the championship.
