Cyriel Dessers has said it was great to score on his Dutch league debut with Feyenoord at the weekend.
The Genk loanee came off the bench to score and make an assist as Feyennord pounded home team PSV 4-0.
“This is a great feeling. I’m very happy. The head is off fairly quickly. So, that’s a good feeling,” said Dessers
It was Feyenoord biggest win in 50 years at PSV.
“Winning in Eindhoven is not easy anyway,” he continued.
“I was able to lose my energy here. Trainer Arne Slot may want some more energy. If you also see how Jens Toornstra always keeps on chasing. That shows how the trainer wants to see Feyenoord play.”
After his goal, Dessers went to celebrate with the corner flag, which was in front of the PSV supporters, who were not so happy about that.
Dessers was pelted by the fans.
“My shirt does smell a bit like beer,” Dessers joked. “But in itself, I think this is part of it. That also makes the match a bit special.”
