KAA Gent have been doing well on the pitch, but financially it has not so great for the Belgian club as they will need cash from the transfer of their top stars like Gift Orban to balance the books.
Het Nieuwsblad analyzed the annual accounts of Gent and discovered a staggering loss of no less than 19.2 Million Euros.
Part of this loss was caused by the fact that they did not make any major outgoing transfer in the summer as they held on to their top players like Gift Orban despite serious interest from across Europe.
Now a 20 Million Euros transfer of the 21-year-old striker will transform Gent into a financially viable club.
It is now left to be seen if this will be the case next month.
