Gent coach has again showered praise on Gift Orban after another hat-trick in the UEFA Europa Conference League, even going on to describe the striker as “a phenomenon”.
Gift Orban, who remains a huge transfer subject, struck thrice for Gent to shoot down Polish club Pogon Szczecin 5-0.
Impressed Gent coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck could not but single out the explosive striker for special praise.
“He’s a phenomenon and he will continue to be a phenomenon. I’ve said it five times and I’ll keep saying it,” he remarked.
“Even if he is no longer here, he will remain a phenomenon and I will continue to say that. He is 21 and remains a young guy.
“His hat-trick? That is nothing special in itself anymore, is it?”
He continued: “This is normal for him. Gift Orban was hungry and showed his qualities once again, I keep calling him a phenomenon and that will not change.
“But it was a collective performance of the whole team. Everyone was good and we have to take that with us. It went well in all lines, we can be satisfied with this match.”
