US-based stars Gift Monday and Deborah Abiodun have arrived in Morocco to complete the Super Falcons squad for this year’s WAFCON.
Flight hitches were responsible for the late arrival of the players in Casablanca.
Defensive midfielder Abiodun featured at last year’s delayed 2024 WAFCON, while striker Gift Monday was not listed.
In the meantime, the defending WAFCON champions will sport 10 stars on their jerseys at this tournament to display the number of times they have been crowned continental champions.
They begin their title defense Tuesday night against Malawi in Rabat.
They are in Group C that also has Zambia and Egypt.
