Genk coach Thorsten Fink has commented on rumours striker Tolu Arokodare is wanted by Turkish giants Trabzonspor.
It has been speculated that Trabzonspor want to table a Seven Million Euros offer for the striker after they failed to sign Paul Onuachu from Southampton.
Fink said he is not surprised by interest for Arokodare and should a good offer come, it will be discussed with the player.
“It’s normal that there is interest from other clubs when you play well. You have to realize that I don’t find a better player in our league as a striker,” Fink said.
“If a good offer comes and he wants to leave, then we will see.”
Arokodare struggled in the first half against Club Brugge Sunday night only to fight back and score an equaliser in a 3-2 away win.
It was his second goal of the new season.
The Genk coach is again full of praise for his striker.
“He’s a complete player. Where do you find a player who’s 2 metres tall? If he doesn’t want to work, we have to deal with that. If he wants to work, we have to give him some credit,” he remarked.
“He has to find the passion and the hunger.
“If he has that, then he is a good player because he has everything. That is work for me as a coach and for the club.
“The way he defended and worked at the end of the match, that is not normal for him. Maybe the belief is there now.”
