The coach of Genk will still not rule out the possibility of Paul Onuachu making his big transfer away from the Belgian club before the window closes Tuesday.
Onuachu scored 35 goals last season and was widely expected to move on to a club in the major league in Europe.
However, Genk coach John van den Brom said a transfer was still possible for Onuachu and defender Jhon Lucumi.
“But they are still here. And again, we still have four days. We will wait and see,” he told TV Limburg.
“We also know that if they go, we’ll have plenty of alternatives for those guys.
“But I’m assuming they’re not going.”
Genk was already planned the departure of both Onuachu and Lucumi as they have already signed replacements this summer in both defense and attack.
Striker Ike Ugbo was joined up, while Genk already strengthened the defence with Sadick at the beginning of the summer and already brought McKenzie on board in January.
