Genk sports director Dimitri de Conde has rated as “99%” the possibility that Tolu Arokodare will cash in on his most prolific season ever and make a big transfer this summer.
Arokodare was Goal King of the Jupiler Pro League in Belgium this past season with 21 goals.
“I estimate the chance of a possible departure of our top scorer at 99 percent,” Condé told Het Belang van Limburg.
“To be clear: there was not a single concrete offer on the table yet.
“But there is a huge demand from agents who want to act as intermediaries. From experience I say: ‘he’s leaving’.
“Arokodare is very well positioned in the market and is also ready to take the next step.”
He has lately been linked to a return to Germany, where he previously played for FC Cologne.
