Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in signing 19-year-old striker George Ilenikhena, who is still eligible to feature for the Super Eagles.
Galatasaray are monitoring the young striker’s situation after he has not scored in five appearances for Al Ittihad, leading to internal doubts at the Saudi club.
Galatasaray reportedly see the player, who has been capped by France at age-grade level, as having high potential and being capable of reviving his career in a more competitive environment.
While current discussions are described as informal, it is suggested that matters are progressing.
A loan could be an option if his situation does not change soon, while a permanent transfer is also a possibility if Al Ittihad were open to a deal.
Ilenikhena joined Al Ittihad in February 2026 from AS Monaco and his contract runs until June 2029.
His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €12.00m.
