Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk has said he hopes Osimhen’s injury is not serious so he could play against Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Champions League Wednesday.
Osimhen was forced out of Wednesday’s Super Lig victory at Basaksehir after 33 minutes due to a suspected groin injury.
Buruk said a scan will be done and the Super Eagles striker would be available again in midweek.
“Lemina (Gabon midfielder) had a slight groin pain in training yesterday (Thursday). Osimhen also felt it today (Friday). We need to see these things. We need to do MRIs,” he said.
“Hopefully it’s nothing serious. Hopefully we can get them ready for the Champions League match.”

Even dailyhighlight9 reported that Osimhen was performing coach duty after being sent off the field.
