Officials said with the provision of free buses, free tickets and a half work day the Super Eagles will receive total support at a full-house MKO Abiola National in Abuja today when they battle Ghana for qualification to this year’s World Cup in Qatar.
Nigeria and Ghana played out a scoreless draw in the first leg of the World Cup playoffs in Kumasi Friday night.
The 60,000-capcity MKO Abiola Stadium is expected to bubble for the Eagles to fly all the way to Qatar 2022.
Hosts Nigeria will need to win to qualify for the World Cup, while a scored draw will seal qualification for the Black Stars of Ghana.
The arena last played host to a Super Eagles game in October 2011, when they played out a 2-2 draw with Guinea to fail to qualify for the 2012 AFCON.
History will also be made tonight as VAR will be used in an official game for the first time in Nigeria.
Kick-off time is 6pm.
