Former Flying Eagles striker Suleiman Abdullahi is expected to soon complete a transfer to Swedish club IFK Goteborg after his contract with Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin was not renewed.
Abdullahi’s contract ended on May 30, 2022.
Injuries have marred his final years in Germany and he last appeared for Hertha Berlin in May 2021.
Reports out of Sweden now said Goteborg new sports director Stig Torbjornsen is behind this transfer.
Torbjornsen has already made a name for himself at another Swedish club IFK Norrkoping when he brought two other Nigeria stars – Samuel Adegbenro and Ishaq Abdulrazak ‘Golden Boy’.
Adegbenro finished top scorer in Sweden last year after he was surplus to requirement at Norwegian club Rosenborg, while Abdulrazak will soon complete a 4.5 Million Euros transfer to Anderlecht after Stig Torjornsen scouted him from Nigeria.
