Officials have told SCORENigeria that a resumption date of training camp has yet to be fixed for the Flying Eagles as FIFA have yet to announce a new host for the U20 World Cup.
FIFA withdrew the hosting rights from Indonesia over a political spat involving one of the qualifiers, Israel.
A new host nation has yet to be announced even though FIFA boss Gianni Infantino gave a strong hint recently that Argentina could stage the tournament.
“No date has been fixed for the Flying Eagles to resume camp,” a top team official informed SCORENigeria
“We have to wait when a new host for the competition is named.”
The Golden Eaglets, who have set up training camp in Abuja for several weeks now, are due to fly out to Germany next Wednesday ahead of the U17 AFCON in Algeria.
There have been suggestions that the Flying Eagles will open camp after the departure of the U17s.
