Ghana-bound Flying Eagles are sweating on the fitness of former Golden Eaglets star Emmanuel Michael, SCORENigeria has learnt
Goal-scoring fullback Michael, who was the top star when the Golden Eaglets bagged the WAFU B U17 Championship in Ghana in 2022, has been battling with an ankle injury.
The injury has prevented him from training with the U20s, who open their 2024 All Africa Games campaign on March 7 against Uganda.
Tunisia, Senegal and South Sudan are the other teams in their five-team qualifying group.
The winners and runners-up will advance to the semifinal of the men’s football event at the continental games.
