Vasteras SK, who have regained their place in the Swedish top league, have reached an agreement to sign former Flying Eagles forward Henry Offia.
Offia, 23, will join Vasteras as a free agent as his contract with Trelleborgs FF.
Fotbolldirekt.se has reported that an agreement is in place between club and player.
Offia will sign a two-year contract with the Allsvenskan newcomers shortly, according to the report.
The Flying Eagles Class of 2019 scored eight goals in 30 games in the Superettan this year. He started 27 of them.
Now TFF have confirmed on their official website that Offia is leaving the club.
“I am grateful that Trelleborg was part of my journey and it has been an unforgettable time. I also want to say a big thank you to the supporters during my years at the club, thank you very much for your support,” he was quoted.
Salif Camara Jonsson, sporting director at TFF, said that they tried to keep the striker.
“Henry has made a great journey in Trelleborg’s FF where he arrived with broken confidence in 2021 and has developed a lot as a player since then,” he said.
“We have had talks for a long time regarding the extension of the contract, but he and his agent have also been clear that there has been interest from both Swedish and foreign clubs.
“We respect his decision to try something new and wish him the best of luck in the future.”
