The Flying Eagles will intensify their preparations for next month’s U20 AFCON in Egypt tomorrow when they resume training on the grass pitch of the National Stadium practice section with emphasis on tactics and deadball situations.
Coach Ladan Bosso told SCORENigeria that the team need to resume full training at the National Stadium grass pitch instead of on the astro-turf at the FIFA Goal Project they have been using.
It will also allow the Golden Eaglets to have full access to the Goal Project pitch as they resume training tomorrow morning.
“The U20 AFCON will be played on natural grass pitches and so we have to resume full training on such a pitch this week,” Bosso told SCORENigeria
“We will also use this time to work on our tactics as well as how to make the most of the deadball situations we will get in Egypt.”
Bosso’s team will test their readiness for the continental tournament with two warm-up games against their Zambian counterparts on January 27 and 30 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
They will thereafter embark on a training tour of Morocco before they fly down to Egypt.
