The Flying Eagles drew 0-0 with hosts Niger Friday night in a test match played in Niamey as part of their preparation for the U20 AFCON qualifiers, which kick off early next month.
Both teams will play a second friendly on Monday.
The Flying Eagles are in Group B along with Ghana and Burkina Faso, while Niger head Group A.
The Flying Eagles, who had less than a month to prepare for this WAFU B zonal qualifiers, will open their campaign on May 8 against defending champions Ghana.
Three days later they will play their final group game against Burkina Faso.
The top two teams in this tournament will advance to the U20 AFCON in Egypt in February 2023.
