The Flying Eagles will now feature in the U20 AFCON qualifiers next month, while the Golden Eaglets qualifiers have been moved to next year with both qualifying tournaments to be hosted by Benin.
The Flying Eagles were originally slated to begin their U20 AFCON qualifiers this week in Togo, but the West African nation later pulled out from hosting the competition citing Coronavirus concerns.
Benin have now stepped in to stage the tournament between December 5th and 20th.
As a result the U17 AFCON has now been shifted to kick off on January 5, also in Benin.
Previously the competition was to be played next month.
Both the Flying Eagles and Golden Eaglets are drawn against Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire in their respective qualifiers.
