The Flying Eagles are billed to undergo an overseas training tour preparatory to the U20 AFCON in Egypt in February 2023, officials have informed SCORENigeria
The tour is being packaged by the NFF task force for age-group teams led by Katsina FA chairman Aminu Kurfi.
“It’s most likely a tour of Europe,” a top official disclosed.
“This will sharpen the boys before the tough task of qualifying for the U20 World Cup.”
The Flying Eagles resumed training camp in Abuja this week and will break just before the Christmas holidays, while in early in the New Year they embark on a training tour ahead of the U20 AFCON.
Kurfi donated cash to the team when he visited them in training Wednesday.
The top four teams at the U20 AFCON will qualify for the U20 FIFA World Cup in Indonesia.
Nigeria last featured in the tournament three years ago, when they reached the Round of 16.
