CAF have named El Kanemi Warriors right fullback Aminu Maigari as the Man of the Match of the third-placed match between the Flying Eagles and hosts Egypt today.
Maigari covered every blade of grass on the pitch today to ensure Nigeria fought back from a goal down to win the eventual penalty shootout.
He is the third Flying Eagles player to scoop the official Man of the Match prize.
Auwal Ibrahim (vs Tunisia) and Daniel Bameyi (vs Morocco) also won the award .
The Flying Eagles placed third at the 2025 U20 AFCON after they beat Egypt 4-1 on penalties after scores at full time stood at 1-1.
