Obafemi Martins has declared himself fully fit from a long-term injury while also shooting down suggestions that he may have quit football.
The 34-year-old striker said he is only studying offers for him to return to action soon.
“I am not quitting yet,” the former Inter Milan and Newcastle United star said in a television interview monitored by SCORENigeria
“I was injured last year, but I am fit again and have since been training, so looking to start playing again.”
He said he has received “ample” offers including one from India, but will wait on a good possibility because “I want to be happy and have fun where I will play next”.
He also admitted it has been a bit disappointing he has only been “watching football on TV”.
“It’s sad some times because I don’t usually do so as I was busy playing myself,” he revealed.
“I want to go back to the pitch.”
Martins has played in four major leagues – Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and the Bundesliga.
