SCORENigeria has specially learnt that the contract of Finidi George will be reviewed downwards after the NFF opted to hire a foreign boss for the Super Eagles coach.
An official told SCORENigeria: “Finidi’s contract will have to be downgraded as he is no longer the head coach of the national team.
“It’s a take-it-or-leave-it situation for him as it stands.”
The former Ajax star is reportedly on about 15 Million Naira a month as Super Eagles head coach.
This will now have to be revisited as that is no longer the case and as the often-broke NFF cannot afford to pay this amount as well as foot the salary bills of a foreign coach, which will be in foreign currency.
Last month, Finidi signed a year’s contract with option for an additional year based on performance.
