The Super Falcons should be throwing a party now after world football governing body FIFA announced they have paid the prize monies they guaranteed to the players who featured at the Women’s World Cup earlier this year.
The Super Falcons will each receive $60,000 (which on black market is now about 72 Million Naira) via the NFF after they reached the Round of 16 of the tournament staged by Australia and New Zealand.
Their Jamaican counterparts have already received their cash after they also reached the knockout rounds of the World Cup.
There have been well-founded apprehension that the Super Falcons will be short changed by the NFF, but FIFA officials have assured the players they have taken special interest in their case.
