Portuguese giants FC Porto have released Mikel Agu for him to join Vitoria Guimaraes on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder has signed a three-year contract.
Agu joined Porto in 2010 playing for the U19s before he eventually signed a professional contract.
However, he failed to make the grade with the Porto main team and so was shipped out on loan variously.
This past season, he played in loan at another Portuguese club Vitoria Setubal.
He has been capped seven times by the Super Eagles.
