The father of Kingsley Michael has celebrated how his son’s dream since he was a child to play for the Super Eagles has now come to pass.
In an Instagram post, Michael senior, a soldier in Abuja, proudly recalled how his son told him he will grow up to play for Nigeria.
“’Daddy, I am Kaka, I will play one day for 9ja’,” he wrote.
“I never believed him, but I supported him.”
On Tuesday, the younger Michael, whose nickname is ‘Kaka’ after the Brazilian star, made his Eagles debut against Cape Verde in a 2-1 victory.
He posted a decent outing.
The Bologna midfielder has previously been capped by Nigeria at U17, U20 and U23 levels.
