Josh Maja, who has been described as “fantastic” by the boss, has said a 2-0 win at Everton will boost the confidence of struggling Fulham as they fight to stay up in the Premier League.
Maja, on loan from French Ligue 1 club Bordeaux, scored twice to end a run of 12 games without a win.
Fulham remain third from bottom with 18 points from 23 matches, seven points from safety.
“It’s a big one, we came into the game wanting to win it and had the results we wanted. We are very happy with the win,” the 22-year-old Maja told BT Sport.
“We took our chances when they came and put in another good performance again, we want to continue like this.
“Wins give the fans and players confidence and we want to take it into the next game.”
Fulham boss Scott Parker praised his goal scorer.
“Fantastic tonight (Sunday) in terms of scoring two goals,” he remarked.
“The first move was brilliant and he is there to tap in and the second is a striker’s instinct to knock one in from the rebound off the post.”
