Fans of Bursaspor have begged Shehu Abdullahi to sign a new contract with the Turkish club amid speculations he could walk away a free agent at the end of the season.
The contract of the 27-year-old Abdullahi with the Turkish second division club will run out at the end of the season.
“Please don’t leave this team,” pleaded one of the fans on social media.
“If you go we can’t go where we deserve.
“As fans, we love and respect you very much, please don’t upset us.”
Another agitated fan promised the versatile player the captain’s armband in the team.
The Nigeria international joined Bursaspor in the 2017/18 season from Cypriot club Anorthosis Fagamusta in a deal worth 300,000 Euros.
He has since played 54 games and scored five goals for the club.
