SCORENigeria can exclusively report that coach Eric Chelle is now considering another striker who will best compliment Victor Osimhen as the Super Eagles go for all-out attack against Rwanda in next month’s must-win 2026 World Cup qualifier.
A source told SCORENigeria the coach plans to start two strikers in Rwanda and take the game to the home team from the first whistle.
“The coach is treating this game as a cup final, it’s a do or die match,” the source informed SCORENigeria
“That’s why he will play a second striker along with Osimhen to take the game to Rwanda.”
Victor Boniface could be a possibility, but he has yet to establish himself in the Super Eagles, while Taiwo Awoniyi has struggled for game time at Premier League club Nottingham Forest.
Paul Onuachu is now enjoying more playing time in the Premier League with Southampton and officials told SCORENigeria the giant striker could well be considered for a recall after he failed to fire last June against South Africa and Benin in crucial World Cup qualifiers.
SINCE WHEN PAUL ONUACHU HAD BEEN PLAYING FOR SUPER EAGLE, HE HAS NEVER IMPRESS NOR PERFORM ON THE FIELD OF PLAY ONE DAY.
*** THE POTENTIALLITY & QUALITY OF PLAY OF GIFT-ORBAN, CRIEL DESSERS, MOFFI, AKPOM IS FAR FAR BETTER THAN PAUL ONUACHU IHEANACHO SADIQ UMAR , AWONIYI.
*** G.ORBAN, DESSERS, AKPOM WILL FORM A GOOD PARTNERSHIP WITH OSIMHEN.
ERIC CHELLE SHOULD NOT BE DECEIVED & CARRIED AWAY ON ONUACHU PARTNERSHIP WITH OSIMHEN. PAUL ONUACHU IS A CLUB-SIDE GOALSCORER DECIEVER. HIS STYLE OF PLAY NEVER MARCH WITH SUPER EAGLE. HE HAS NEVER PLAY WELL IN ANY OF THE MATCHES HE PLAYED FOR THE SUPER EAGLE.
** UNDER GERNOT ROHR, EQUAVOEN , PASEIRO, FINIDI, HE ALL FLOPPED.
CHUKWUEZE, MUSA, LOOKMAN, SIMON PLAYED WELL WITH OSIMHEN AT THE FRONT, AND THEY ALL SUCCEEDED.
#### OSIMHEN NEEDS AGGRESSIVE & SPEEDY PLAYER TO PARTNER WITH.
** THE POTENTIAL & QUALITY OF PLAY OF GIFT-ORBAN , CRIEL DESSERS, MOFFI, AKPOM WILL SUIT OSIMHEN PARTNERSHIP. AND ALSO FAR FAR BETTER THAN PAUL ONUACHU, IHEANACHO, SADIQ UMAR, AWONIYI.
ERIC CHELLE BE WATCHFUL ooooooooo ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
