Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon have stepped up their pursuit of Alhassan Yusuf by asking Belgian champions Antwerp their valuation of the highly-rated midfielder.
Alhassan Yusuf, 23, who was Man of the Match as Antwerp got off to a winning start in the new season over the weekend, is valued on Transfermarkt at 5 Million Euros.
A top source told SCORENigeria: “Sporting have asked for a valuation of Alhassan. They are waiting for Antwerp to respond.”
He joined Antwerp in July 2021 from Swedish club IFK Goteborg for over a Million Euros.
His stocks shot up last season when he helped Antwerp win the league and cup double.
French Ligue 1 club Strasbourg are the other serious suitors for the hard-working midfielder.
