SCORENigeria can exclusively report that at least a Premier League club as well as another Bundesliga side have sent scouts to watch Alhassan Yusuf at the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
Alhassan Yusuf, 23, impressed in the Super Eagles opening AFCON group game against Equatorial Guinea, but a thigh injury from that game caused him to miss the other group games against Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea Bissau.
He has now returned to full training and could be in line for Saturday’s Round of 16 epic clash against Cameroon.
“Scouts from Premier League club West Ham as well as RB Liepzig in the Bundesliga will send scouts to watch Alhassan at the AFCON,” a top source informed SCORENigeria
“Interestingly, like West Ham new star Mohammed Kudus, Alhassan was also discovered at the Gothia Cup in Sweden the same year.”
In the past, this box-to-box midfielder widely compared to the great Ngolo Kante has been linked to Wolves and Sheffield United in the Premier League.
This latest transfer interest for Alhassan comes at a time when several Antwerp stars like Arthur Vermereen and Mandela Keita are on the shop window of top clubs across Europe.
