SCORENigeria can exclusively reveal that French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille are now ready to put up 10 million Euros for Chidera Ejuke after monitoring him since last year.
In December, we first reported that an unnamed Ligue 1 club were ready to break the bank by tabling an offer of at least eight million Euros for the Heerenveen SC flying winger.
Marseille are that club and they want the former Golden Eaglets star, who has previously undergone trials at Liverpool, to be part of their UEFA Champions League campaign next season.
“There is a rash of interests for Chidera all over Europe and Marseille are leading the way,” a source familiar with the transaction told SCORENigeria
“They have been tracking him for several months and they are now convinced to put their money where their mouth is.”
The Zaria-born star has also been linked with Dutch champions Ajax as well as Feyenoord as well as clubs in Germany and China.
Heerenveen will record a massive return on their investment on Ejuke after they paid Norwegian club Valerenga two million Euros for him just a year ago.
Ejuke, 22, has shone for Heerenveen in his debut season in Holland – nine goals in 25 league appearances.
