A new foreign coach who will navigate the Super Eagles now rather difficult 2026 World Cup qualifiers will be decided on by the NFF technical committee after the holidays, officials told SCORENigeria
The Super Eagles will resume their quest to qualify for the 2026 World Cup in March.
They fly out to group leaders Rwanda before a home game against bottom team Zimbabwe.
Nigeria are second from bottom with three points after four rounds of matches.
SCORENigeria further gathered that sponsors to pay the new foreign coach of the Super Eagles.
NFF technical director Augustine Eguavoen, who is currently on medical leave in Belgium, has demanded that a decision on the head coach of the Super Eagles be made in good time.
He was in temporary charge of the team during which he qualified them to the 2025 AFCON.

IF NFF ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE HIGH COST/DEMAND OF FOREIGN COACH, THEN As NIGERIANS like U.K used/fairly used(tokunbo) items/products, why NFF no go for U.K./fairly used/tokunbo coach imported from Netherlands/ Germany/China. At least,it will still be avoidable in terms of price, last long & high quality than original local Coach made(with bribe & sentiment) in Nigeria
