French Ligue 1 club FC Lorient want 25 Million Euros, which is more than thrice what they paid for the striker three years ago and far in excess of his transfer market value.
Moffi, 23, is a top transfer target in this transfer window after he banged 10 goals in 16 appearances in the French top flight this season.
He is also now a full international with three goals in nine games since his debut in June 2021 against Cameroon.
A top source close to the player told SCORENigeria: “The club want between 20 and 25 Million Euros.
“But in the end the market forces will determine just how much he eventually goes for.”
The key in this story is that Lorient are open to sell him after they turned down “very tempting bids” last season for the star striker as his goals them afloat in Ligue 1.
Moffi has 18 months left on his contract and many experts believe it won’t be a bad time for Lorient to cash in on their prized asset.
His transfer market value is put at 15 Million Euros.
Troubled Premier League club Southampton lead a growing list of clubs across Europe who are keen to sign Moffi.
His style of speed and power will suit the Premier League, where it was gathered several other clubs have indicated interest.
