Top target Herve Renard has ruled himself out of the Super Eagles post and has instead jetted out of France to Senegal on vacation, SCORENigeria can exclusively report
A reliable source informed: “Renard has ruled himself out of the Super Eagles job.
“Today, he left for vacation in Senegal.
“He said the NFF do not have the cash to pay him.”
His representatives asked for a hefty monthly salary of $180,000 and this was always going to be mountain too high for the NFF to surmount.
Earlier today, the French women’s team announced Renard has quit as their coach.
It is most likely that negotiations between the NFF and Renard broke down and the football federation have now been forced to settle for Tom Saintfiet.
Interestingly, top NFF officials refused to meet with Sainfiet’s representatives in France during the Paris Olympics.
