Silas Nwankwo of Nasarawa United and Charles Atshimene of champions Akwa United have finished the season as joint winners of the prestigious Eunisell Boot after they finished top scorers of the NPFL on 19 goals apiece.
Atshimene looked like running away with the top award when he scored for his team at Lobi Stars today, only for Nwankwo to score a late consolation goal for Nasarawa in a 3-1 loss at Abia Warriors.
Two years ago, Nasarawa United forward Sunusi Ibrahim and Mfon Udoh also tied in the goals race and were jointly awarded the Eunisell Boot.
The Eunisell Boot rewards the winner with 200,000 Naira a goal and that means Nwankwo and Atshimene were each take home 3.8 Million Naira as prize money.
