Charles Atsimene is now joint leading scorer in the NPFL with Silas Nwankwo of Nasarawa after his hat-trick today that crowned Akwa United champions.
Atsimene, who featured for the NPFL stars in a recent friendly against Mexico in the USA, opened scoring for hosts Akwa United against MFM FC after 24 minutes.
The former Warri Wolves centre forward scored again in the 85th minute, before he completed his hat-trick on the dot of full time.
