Coach Eric Chelle has promised to win more trophies with Nigeria after he led them to victory in the 2025 Unity Cup in London.
The Super Eagles beat Jamaica 5-4 on penalties after fulltime scores stood at 2-2 at the Gtec Stadium in West London Saturday night.
“This is my first trophy as coach, as a player I won many trophies,” declared Eric Chelle, who was appointed Nigeria coach in January.
“I hope with this trophy I can bring to Nigeria another trophy.”
The former Mali coach, who has now won three of his four games in charge, will next lead the team to high-profile friendly against Russia in Moscow on Friday.
He will play a supervisory role at the 2025 CHAN in East Africa in August.
In September, the Super Eagles will resume 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign with a home game against Rwanda and away trip to group leaders South Africa.
The Super Eagles will also feature at the 2025 AFCON to be hosted by Morocco from December.
