Pyramids FC of Egypt are the team standing between Enyimba and a place in the semifinal of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup following the quarterfinal draw today.
Pyramids will host Enyimba on May 16 with the return leg in Aba a week later.
The overall winners of this tie will face the winners of quarterfinal between Orlando Pirates of South Africa and Raja Casablanca from Morocco for a place in the final.
Enyimba will have to step up on their form on the road and also take their chances in front of goal whether at home or away.
Last year, Enugu Rangers did battle with Pyramids on the continent as well.
Enyimba sneaked into the last eight of the competition after a dramatic late winner by Cyril Olisema aganst Orlando Pirates of South Africa Wednesday night.
‘The People’s Elephant’ have won the more prestigious CAF Champions League, but no Nigerian club have won the Confederation Cup since it was founded in 2004.
