Enugu Rangers coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has hit out at his Remo Stars counterpart Daniel Ogunmodede for “winning at all costs”.
NPFL champions Enugu Rangers fell 2-1 at Remo Stars Sunday, but Ilechukwu lashed out at his fellow Super Eagles assistant coach for not respecting fair play in the course of the game.
“It’s a big disappointment, very big disappointment in ‘Ijaball’” (Ogunmodede), there was no fair play even when a player’s life was at risk,” a furious Ilechukwu blasted.
“You don’t win by all means.
“This was not how Rangers were crowned champions.”
Remo Stars remain top of the NPFL standings with a perfect 12 points from four matches.
Rangers are 12th on four points from three matches.
