Relegated Premier League club Ipswich Town have reached an agreement in principle with Ajax for Chuba Akpom.
It is a one-year loan deal with a mandatory purchase option of £7 million if Ipswich achieved promotion back to the Premier League.
Akpom, who has become surplus to requirement, is expected to undergo medical examinations shortly and sign with Ipswich Town.
Ipswich aim to fill the gap left by Liam Delap with the signing of Akpom.
