The controversial Super Eagles forward, who is on loan from Nottingham Forest, scored a stunning individual goal in the 44th minute for Watford to regain the lead at 2-1.
It was his fourth goal in six starts for the English Championship outfit since his return after a loan move to Turkey did not go to plan.
Dennis was also involved in the opening goal for his team.
His goal-bound effort was blocked by the diving Leeds goalkeeper and from the rebound Bayo scored in the 31st minute.
Watford are now 14th in the standings with 49 points from 39 matches, far removed from the promotion race which has seen both Ipswich Town and Leeds climb above Leicester City, who topped the table for many months.
